First Timers' Drop-In Session

Your first PharmaSUG conference can be overwhelming - there's so much to do and see! Stop by our First Timers' Drop-in Session for an overview of the conference. Several experienced attendees will be on hand to help you navigate the conference, point out key features, provide tips and advice, and answer your questions. You can "drop in" anytime between 1 PM and 4 PM that is convenient for you. All conference attendees are welcome, even if it's not your first time! :)
Opening Session

The PharmaSUG conference kicks off on Sunday evening with our opening session. This year, we are pleased to announce that Dave Evans, President and CEO at CDISC, will be our keynote speaker.
Dave Evans, CDISC - "The Impact of Standards on Technology Interoperability Today and in the Future"
Dave Evans is recognized industry-wide as a leading technology visionary for developing and implementing complex process and system solutions and as an expert in the areas of information standards, regulatory compliance and quality governance. He was the architect and developer of the first electronic drug submission to the FDA in 1985 and has been responsible for more than 100 electronic regulatory submissions and complex clinical data warehouse systems. He brings over 40 years’ experience to CDISC, serving in various executive-level positions in software development, clinical research, regulatory and healthcare industries. Most recently, he was the Global Head of Quality Governance and Regulatory Compliance for Accenture Life Sciences. Prior to that, he was CIO of Octagon Research Solutions and co-founder of Premier Research and Research Data Corporation. He has also served on the CDISC Board and has chaired the CDISC Advisory Council.
Dave received his MS in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University and his BS in Biology from Ursinus College.
Opening Mixer

After the opening session, we'll flow immediately into our opening mixer where you can mingle with other attendees and enjoy light appetizers and drinks. It's a great chance to catch up with old friends and make some new ones as well!
Morning Yoga with Charu
Monday and Tuesday, 7:00 - 8:00 AM
Room 308
Start each day off right with a relaxing yoga session led by SAS's own Charu Shankar. In addition to being a programming whiz, Charu is a professional yoga instructor and will lead you through some basic routines to prepare you for the day ahead. Beginners welcome! Wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat, if you have one (a hotel towel will also work)!
Casino and Karaoke Night
Tuesday, May 24, 7:00-10:00 PM
Lone Star Ballroom, Salons D-E (3rd Floor)
Kick back and enjoy the final evening of the conference with a return of our popular Casino Night- a fun-filled evening of casino games including blackjack, craps, roulette, poker, and slot machines! This event is perfect for experts and novices alike. It's also good statistical practice with no money involved. Professional croupiers and dealers will teach you everything you need to know about the games and ensure that everyone has a great experience. Card counters welcome!
If you prefer to simply socialize, there will be plenty of seating available. Refreshments and prizes are provided. This year's event will also include a DJ and karaoke!
Closing Session
