The PharmaSUG conference kicks off on Monday morning with our opening session. This year, we are please to announce that Patti Compton, Head of Statistical Programming and Analysis at Pfizer, will be our featured speaker.

Patti Compton, Pfizer - "Moving at the Speed of Science: Lessons Learned in Response to the Covid-19 Pandemic" (slides - PDF, 4.0MB)

In March 2020, the FDA declared that circumstances exist justifying the authorization of emergency use of drugs and biological products during the COVID-19 pandemic. This presentation will highlight key strategies to accelerate the analysis process to support a COVID-19 EUA as well as lessons learned that may be considered for future programs.

Patti Compton is currently the Head of Statistical Programming and Analysis at Pfizer. With over 20 years pharmaceutical academic and industry experience, she has been responsible for leading efforts to build a sustainable framework to optimize statistical reporting including strengthening data reporting environments, quality indicators and data sharing capabilities. Currently she is leading an implementation of a digitized analysis platform with modernized search, integration, and automation/ML to enable simplified workflows and predict risk. Additionally, she is accountable for developing functional sourcing strategies and partnerships and has implemented many development operational expansion efforts within Asia including China, India and Japan. She holds BA and MS degrees from the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University.

Pub Trivia Night

When the question pops up, you only have 20 seconds to select your answer. Bad news - the slower you respond, the fewer points you get! In this lightning-quick trivia contest, you get to test your knowledge on a multitude of light, fun, general knowledge & pop culture questions. The game is all web-based, so no software downloads are required; you can download some additional information about the game here.

Note that there is a limit of 50 people, so you'll want to sign up early! Registration will open on the conference site on Monday morning- reserve your spot then, but you must show up to the event on time, or your spot may be given to someone on the waitlist.

Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament

Tuesday, May 25, 6:00 - 7:00 PM

With Poker Now, we bring you the next best thing to our traditional Texas Hold-'Em Poker Night. Whether you're running a big bluff against your fellow attendees or shoving all your chips in with a monster hand, the poker tournament is always a good way to unwind after a day of learning and networking. Here's a sneak peek at what the game interface looks like.

There's no cost to play and everyone is welcome, whether you're completely new to poker or a regular grinder at your local card room. Only the first 50 people to sign up will be allowed to play, so register early! Registration will open on the conference site on Monday morning- reserve your spot then, but you must show up to the event on time, or your spot may be given to someone on the waitlist.
