Access to Relational Databases Using SAS ®

The SAS System currently provides many of the features of a database management system, including database views and SQL access. Nevertheless, it is often impractical or just plain impossible to convert desktop or legacy databases into SAS. For this reason , the SAS System provides several procedures for access to local or remote databases. These have been dramatically improved in Version 8. This presentation will review how to use the SAS/Access procedures for Oracle, ODBC and OLE/DB to link database server s to networked workstations.
